Training and certification
- Which board certifies you, and may I verify it? What did that certification examine?
- Where did you train specifically in facial cosmetic surgery, and for how long?
- How many of this exact procedure have you performed in the last year?
Safety
- Where will surgery be performed, and is the facility accredited?
- Who administers anesthesia, and what are their qualifications?
- What complications have you seen with this procedure, and how were they handled?
- If I have a problem at 2 a.m., who do I call?
Results
- May I see before-and-after photos of patients with anatomy like mine — including your average results, not only your best?
- What would you not do for me, and why?
- What is your revision policy?
