For surgeons
Fellowship Training
Fellowship training is a dedicated period — beyond residency — in which a surgeon operates across the full range of facial cosmetic procedures under the mentorship of an experienced facial cosmetic surgeon, with graduated responsibility and documented case volume.
Because U.S. residencies are organized around medically necessary care, fellowship is where focused aesthetic judgment is built: patient selection, aesthetic analysis, technique across procedures, and management of complications. The Board's certification requirements are designed around that standard.
